Our story
We want to share our story.
ARCA VILLAGE is a place set apart. A place to come closer to God.
ARCA VILLAGE was created from a simple belief: sometimes we need to step away from the noise of everyday life to hear God again.
Surrounded by the tropical beauty and peaceful mountains of Panama, ARCA VILLAGE is a Christian sanctuary for those seeking time to slow down, pray, reflect, reconnect and simply be in His presence.
Here, faith is not a program. It is part of the rhythm of everyday life - in morning prayer, quiet walks through nature, conversations around a shared table, moments of worship, meaningful work and the stillness in between.
You do not have to arrive with answers.
Come to rest. Come with a question. Come to deepen your faith, seek direction or simply spend time with God.
ARCA VILLAGE is intentionally Christian, rooted in the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. We seek to live in relationship with God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - through prayer, worship, community and everyday life. At the same time, we warmly welcome Christians from different nations, denominations and traditions. We may worship differently, but we can pray together, share a table and seek God together.
ARCA VILLAGE is both a place of retreat and a growing residential community. Throughout the year, we welcome selected Christian retreats, seminars and groups, as well as people exploring whether a life of faith, nature and community at ARCA VILLAGE might be for them.
Above all, we want ARCA VILLAGE to be a place where you can become quiet enough to listen, free enough to breathe and unhurried enough to make room for God.
Come for the stillness.
Stay for the community.
Leave a little closer to God.
WELCOME TO ARCA VILLAGE.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
What We Believe
ARCA VILLAGE is a Christian community rooted in the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ.
We welcome Christians from different nations, churches and traditions who share the essential foundations of the Christian faith. We do not expect uniformity in every theological question. We believe that what unites us in Christ is greater than the traditions that distinguish us.
We believe in God.
We believe in one God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - Creator of heaven and earth, the source of life, love, truth and hope.
We believe in Jesus Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He came into the world for us, died on the cross and rose again.
Through Him we receive forgiveness, grace, reconciliation with God and the promise of eternal life.
Jesus Christ is at the heart of ARCA VILLAGE.
We believe in the Bible.
We receive the Bible as the inspired Word of God and the foundation for our faith, our values and the way we seek to live.
We approach Scripture with reverence, humility and a desire not only to know God's Word, but to live it.
We believe in prayer.
We believe prayer is a living relationship with God.
It is speaking and listening, asking and thanking, seeking and becoming still.
For this reason, prayer is woven naturally into the rhythm of life at ARCA VILLAGE.
We believe in grace.
None of us arrives perfect.
Christian community is not a gathering of people who have everything figured out. We live from the grace of God and therefore seek to meet one another with humility, patience, forgiveness and compassion.
We believe in community.
Jesus calls us not only into relationship with God, but also into relationship with one another.
We seek to share life with respect and generosity - praying together, eating together, helping one another, carrying one another's burdens and celebrating one another's joys.
We believe creation is a gift.
The earth belongs to God, and we receive creation with gratitude.
We therefore seek to live responsibly, care for the land entrusted to us, respect animals and nature, grow and share food, and leave this place better than we found it.
We believe faith should become visible.
Faith is more than something we profess.
It becomes visible in how we love, forgive, serve, work, speak, give and care for one another.
We want ARCA VILLAGE to be a place where faith is not merely discussed, but quietly lived.
Different traditions. One table. One Lord.
At ARCA VILLAGE, Christians from different denominations and traditions are welcome.
We will not agree on every theological detail - nor do we need to.
What we ask is that everyone who joins our community respects its Christian foundation, the dignity of others and our shared desire to follow Jesus Christ.
We choose faith over division, grace over judgment, service over status, and love over fear.
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35
This is the faith at the heart of ARCA VILLAGE.
We're grateful to share our story with you.
